Don’t make my mistakes – Save 5-10 weeks of your time a year

Listen to the people who know better. Right now, I know better, but at the time, I didn’t. When it came time to run my COVID testing business, I decided to do it all myself, putting a lot of work on my own shoulders that didn’t need to be there. I should’ve hired an outside consultant , i.e., outsourced, to save myself and my partner the stress of business administration so I could focus on business development. The race isn’t won by saving money – it’s by making money. If you’re figuring out how to do it, it’ll cost you twice as much and three times longer than someone who already knows what they’re doing.

Now, luckily, I practice what I preach and don’t undertake those elements of my business when I can easily hand it to someone who knows better. At Skylar, we ourselves outsource elements of our business to those equipped to handle those needs.

To give you a quick example, based on data we’ve compiled and information we’ve received from our clients, but using Skylar’s services we’re able to save clients 5-10 weeks of time handling their finances and business administration on their behalf. Especially when starting your own business, or running a small-mid-sized business, that time is invaluable.

Maybe you’re passionate about business administration, finances and all the work that goes into keeping a company up to the legal standards necessary – that’s great! We understand your passion. However, unless that is your sole focus, it will be hard to provide yourself with enough time and energy to run your company handling all aspects of it.

So, don’t make my mistakes. Work smarter, not harder.
